The POSCO Museum is situated in Goedong-dong, Nam-gu, Pohang-si. The museum shows the history of POSCO starting from the 1968 launch of the business to be the leader of steel-making in the world. As it illustrates successful story of POSCO, visitors get impressed and can be proud of Korean steel-making accomplishment.

Situated on a 9,900 square meter site adjacent to the Pohang Works on Korea's southeastern coast, the museum provides a permanent Home for the growing POSCO legacy with 1,980 square meters of exhibit space inside a three-level, 3,630 square meter building.

The POSCO Museum feature nine exhibit areas and a theater. Exhibit areas consist of followings: Before POSCO, POSCO Origins, The Pohang Works, The Gwangyang Works, The Post Story Continues, Theme Zone, Employee's Gallery, Founder's Gallery, The World of POSCO.

It is really touching that the museum exhibits the fist melting furnace, the concrete fragment of Pohang 3 shaft furnace which was demolished by shoddy construction, uniforms, and the first construction office which had witness all the sadness and joy of workers.

The company museum where the past, present, and future co-exist becomes a living education center that gives hope and dream for the youth. Within 30 years, POSCO became the most competitive company in the world out from nothing. The POSCO Museum chronicles the short but illustrious history of Korea’s first and foremost integrated steelmaker. It will be the lively learning place which can deliver hope and dream for our next generation.

POSCO asks that groups notify them at least three days in advance so the staff can prepare for your visit. You have to notify them the name of group or organization, visit date, number of vehicles, and contact info via phone, fax or e-mail. If you arrive the museum on reserved time, staffs there will kindly introduce you about the museum.
